Henry Gage (knight) - Sir Henry Gage (1597–1645) was born in 1597 of the family of the Gages of Haling, in Surrey, the son of the baronet John Gage and Elizabeth Wilford. The family were Catholic and long intermarried with other prominent Catholic families, including that of Sir Thomas More, the former Lord Chancellor.
